QUEER+

QUEER+ is a photo documentary project started beginning 2022. I wanted to talk and open a discussion about what “being queer” means nowadays and how the city of Montréal played a role in the journey of many young people around the city. Asking these questions to people led me to have very intimate and diverse exchanges with them, further wanting me to open this discussion for the viewers to question themselves. All of these fragments of discussion are theirs words. They are presented with a selection of photography taken during the process, giving a genuine and simple glance of the life of me and my compeers in this city.

This project was shown for the “Milk Moon Exhibition” that happened in Montreal on the 13th of May. This exhibition co-organized with my friend Danielle Romaine and Joe Carlo Romero showcased the work of 15 different artists and young creatives in town.
