VISUAL MERCHANDISER


Working in the retail area for more than 6 years as a merchandiser, I have experienced many different settings and exigences from different companies. Starting my journey with Banana Republic for 3 years, I did learned all the basis of this positions. With campaign rotations, maximization of the space, commercial styling, restocking and utilizations of many different techniques (vinyl, printing, decks and divers techniques for window displays).

From 2021 to 2024, I have been working as a visual merchandiser for HoltRenfrew. There, I am exploring the luxury side of this profession. Specialising in menswear, I did touch on all the commodities and succeed to present myself as one of the lead stylists of the store. Working closely with many vendors of luxury brands, I know each needs in terms of merchandising and manage to convey the image of each brand on the floor.
On top of that, I still execute national directives for windows and interiors moments to reflect the campaign. I work also closely with the marketing team to help them create the best visual experience during private events and pop up, inside the store as well as in divers other places.



HARD SHOP / BOUTIQUE : On the menswear floor, I took care of few boutiques that host a certain brand and who are presented under specific brand needs.
Theses shop includes : Balenciaga, Givenchy, Valentino, Tom Ford and Amiri.



DESIGNER : I took care of the men’s designer section where I showed a more fashion oriented styling while experimenting with layout and merchandising .
You can find on that side brands like Loewe, Acne Studios, Maison Margiela, Jaquemus, Alexander Mc Queen, Ami Paris, Casablanca and more.



SATORIAL : I also took care of the satorial department where i can explore a more classic styling and “tone-down” presentation. We can find on that side of the store brands like Thom Browne, Canali, Eleventy, Jack Victore, Paul Smith and more.



ACCESSORIES : Here you can find some examples of refresh and executions that happened in divers accessories departments. Leather goods, soft accessories and shoes are separated, but sometimes certain presentation can regroup all of the items from one brand to showcase the new collection, or a selection of multiples product from different brands to show a specific trend.



WINDOWS / CAMPAIGN MOMENTS : Windows are executed with specific guidelines from the head office. Installers help us with furniture’s movement while we take care of the “props” part of it as well as the styling. Usually showcase trend for the season or present a selection of products for a specific event.

Interior campaign moments are, like the windows, directed by the head office and showcase specific brands or trends. The personification of props and layout is often chosen by them while we try to adapt the styling with what we have in stock and with the Montreal market.



MARKETING EVENT : I worked closely with the in-house marketing of the store to help elevate each event that they organize. I have been working on a couple different projects like pop up outside of the city (Ottawa, Quebec City), trend presentation for private events, pop from brands in the store, corporate visits with presentation, concerts, and more. The use of the space, props and display is usually designed by myself.
